Miley Cyrus Robbed

Miley Cyrus’ year recently went from bad to worse, with reports of a recent burglary of the pop sensation’s home. Reportedly, two intruders, a man and a woman, broke into the singer’s home. Then, they stole purses, jewelry, and her 2014 Maserati Quattroporte. Read on for more information about the Miley Cyrus robbery.

The burglary occurred at 4:00 p.m. on a Friday, and police found no evidence of forced entry. The couple scaled a wall surrounding the singer’s property and entered her home via the singer’s garage. Cyrus was not present at her home then, as she was conducting the European leg of her Bangerz tour. Reports from TMZ suggest that one of Cyrus’s employees returned to her home and noticed several valuables were out of place. The employee immediately notified the Los Angeles Police Department.

This is not the first time the 21-year-old singer’s home has been raided, with a previous robbery incident reported in November 2013. In that instance, thieves infiltrated her home as she celebrated her 21st birthday. The burglars stole a Chanel purse with private photographs of the singer smoking a suspicious-looking roll-up cigarette. Since that incident, a man broke into Cyrus’ home carrying a pair of scissors. Fortunately, the singer was absent, and local police handled the matter.

Crime Scene Investigation Leads to Apprehension of Thieves

Local authorities obtained fingerprint evidence from the home and viewed the property’s CCTV footage. This allowed the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) to identify and arrest a young woman and man on the morning of June 5th, 2014. They charged the two individuals with burglary. The two culprits are not assumed to have any prior connection with the singer.

After finding it abandoned, the authorities also recovered the pop singer’s $102,000 Maserati. However, the missing jewelry has not been found. While there is no doubt about the validity of the reports indicating that the two burglars have been apprehended, no official statement has been released by the Los Angeles Police Department. Similarly, Cyrus’s entourage has also declined to comment on the matter.

Miley Cyrus has been through some difficult times lately. Recently, she received news that her beloved dog, Floyd, passed away while she was on tour. Cyrus expressed her grief about Floyd’s death via Twitter and even broke down while singing a tribute to her pet on tour. Shortly after the incident, Cyrus was hospitalized due to an allergic reaction to prescription medication and was forced to abandon several concert dates.

Previous Miley Cyrus Robbery Events

Celebrity burglaries and thefts are becoming more common. A similar event took place at the Kardashian home in March 2014. In that instance, intruders invaded their Tarzana-based property in California before stealing over $250,000 worth of jewelry. A few weeks later, thieves stole $50,000 in jewels from Kourtney Kardashian’s home in Calabasas, California.
