Mississippi Private Investigator Licensing Requirements

Currently, a private investigator license is not required for the state of Mississippi.  Since laws change frequently, those who are interested in becoming a detective, or those who are already operating as a private eye in other states, should check with the appropriate Mississippi state licensing agency to determine if a license is required.

Other special licensing requirements such as education requirements, experience requirements, examinations, and insurance may be required.  Check the state licensing website for more information.
