London Private Detective Gives Information on Hidden Cameras
(PRWEB UK) 14 June 2013
According to recent BBC News report by Michael Buchanan: CCTV footage reveals domestic care neglect, videos recorded by the family of Muriel Price, 83 have been shown to the BBC. The footage shows multiple failings by home care company Mosaic, such as turning up late or no at all, the use of unprofessional carers, disrespectful, degrading and undignified care practice.
The BBC News report goes on to say that Darryl Price, grandson of Muriel Price, had the CCTV cameras fitted to monitor his grandmother’s movements and to provide help if she should she fall when home alone. He was shocked to see that his grandmother’s carers where sometimes behaving inappropriately and with neglect. Mrs Price is now happily living in a care home and said:
“I’m lucky I have a family to look after me”
“Those that haven’t got a family, God help them, poor devils.”
Private Detective London often fit hidden cameras and CCTV systems into homes of elderly people at the request of their relatives. This is to monitor them if the family are unable to offer 24/7 care. It gives the elderly relative their independence, allows them to remain in their own home for longer and gives the family the peace of mind. There are different types of camera monitoring from CCTV, 3G cameras that can view footage from a 3G mobile phone and disguised or hidden cameras. Some cameras can be disguised as everyday objects such as air fresheners, smoke alarms or even plant pots.
Spokesperson from Private Detective London, Brian Evans said:
“It was lucky that Mrs Price’s home was being monitored by her family as it may never have been proved that her home care company was treating her so badly. In my professional opinion CCTV, hidden and disguised cameras are an excellent way to provide elderly people with more freedom to enjoy their lives in the comfort of their own homes without their family worrying about them.”
