Former Chicago Bulls NBA legend Scottie Pippen Charged with Assault
On Sunday night, June 24th, an incident occurred at a club called Nobu in Malibu, California. Outside of club Nobu, former Chicago Bulls National Basketball Association (NBA) legend Scottie Pippen was approached by a man seeking an autograph. Reportedly, Pippen denied the man’s request for an autograph, then a fight started between the two men. The victim, the man who approached Mr. Pippen, alleged that Scottie Pippen punched him in the face and then kicked him repeatedly.
The man reportedly suffered several injuries to his head and back, and had several broken teeth and a swollen mouth. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for examination and treatment. Local law enforcement were called to the scene of the incident, but Pippen reportedly left the scene.
Police later interviewed Pippen about what happened outside the club that night, but the officers decided not arrest him at the time.
The next day, the basketball star was named as a suspect for a felony charge of “Assault with a deadly weapon”, referring to Pippen’s shoes.
As of this writing Pippen’s attorney was not commenting on the allegations.
The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
