Government Email Addresses

Want to send an email to the United States Government?  Emailing your senator, House representative or other member of Congress is an important part of keeping elected officials informed of our opinions.  Sending an email to your congressman is an important way of letting the government and its elected officials know that you hold them accountable for their campaign promises.  Don't wait for election time to voice your opinion.  If you feel strongly about something, send them an email.  Quite often, you'll receive a canned response from the government, but sometimes you may get a response from the government office that you emailed.  In rare cases, you may get a return email from the actual government official.

The following will help you get in touch with various members of the U.S. government via email.
E-mail the President

Send an e-mail to the Presidentpresident@whitehouse.gov. E-mail the Vice President at vice.president@whitehouse.gov. If you prefer to write a letter, you can mail it to: The White House, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20500.

E-mail Your RepresentativeSearch the House of Representatives database by zip code. If this doesn't prove fruitful, try searching this list of Representative Web sites. Many sites offer an e-mail address or feedback form.
E-mail Your SenatorSelect your Senator from the state-by-state list at the Senate's Web site. If you know the name of your Senator, you can obtain contact information from this "Contacting the Senate" list.
E-mail Other Government OfficialsE- The People can help you find the person you need to talk to in the government.  Simply go to the site, click on "roads and transportation," type in your address and they'll forward your note to the right officials in your city. If your public works commissioner doesn't have Internet access, they'll convert your e-mail to a fax! This site makes it incredibly easy to voice your concern to more than 170,000 officials in local, state and federal government.
